About White Buffalo
Despite ongoing debates among mineralogists about whether "White Buffalo" is truly turquoise, its undeniable beauty has made it a favorite among Native American silversmiths. White Buffalo Stone was originally found at the outermost section of the Dry Creek Turquoise vein, which is largely why miners began referring to it as "Turquoise," simplifying its classification at the mining site.
White Buffalo Stone is primarily composed of Calcite. However, its crystalline structure determines whether it transforms into Dolomite or Aragonite, showcasing the natural variability of this unique mineral.
